Defend the Internet

With the Internet Service providers trying to offer tiered services, capping bandwidth, and all around trying to restrict the internet at every turn the internet needs to be defended. The internet needed to be defended because it is a way of talking to friends, sharing information, ans it is also way of becoming famous now. If WE don't defend our internet no one will.
All this is an infringement upon the basic tenet of the internet: Net Neutrality. Net Neutrality is exactly that the ISP's remaining out of the development of the internet. The internet will develop the way the people that use it want it to develop. Net Neutrality is as right now what is stopping the I.S.P.'s from capping your bandwidth, slowing down your access to the internet, and/ or basically restricting your access.
No Laws have really been put into place that stop the only reason I.S.P's don't go full on is because they don't have full support of our government. If they did the internet would be a different place. The internet wouldn't be this glorious access to information. MMO's would never have really become popular and things like xbox live would never have come into existence.
Another reason the I.S.P.'s don't go full on is because it would anger millions of people in the United states only. Look what happened to Comcast when they started to slow heavy downloader's bandwidth during peak times. Those people got pissed and complained in a court of law. Comcast had to stop doing this.
This was a strike in favor of Net Neutrality. The FCC said comcast had no right to do this. Now even more people are starting to support the cause of Net Neutrality. If more people join the cause then Maybe we can save our internet. We won't get tiered services or capped bandwidths. The internet will be the same for all. Join the cause now at Savetheinternet.org
